Science and Technology could help "Reunite Families" separated by Immigration Policy

Here's a few ideas on how Science and/or Technology could help "Reunite Families" separated by Immigration Policy.

First, as with anything, there might be legal/ethical issues, but maybe Volunteer Attorneys could guide those implementing solutions.

Some Possible Sci/Tech Solutions....
  • Use DNA to match.  DNA testing could also show relatives (with addresses) here in the United States, that might help re-unite the little ones.  (Relative Matching Tool)

  • Maybe Border Control Agents can remember which child goes with each adult.  Perhaps hypnosis can help them remember.

  • Perhaps children could look at photos of the detained adults and identify the adult - and visa versa.  Physiological signs (emotions) , body language, facial recognition, etc. of those looking at photos could indicate who belongs to whom, even if the child/adult cannot communicate, e.g. toddlers.  This technique is now used for reviewing movies.

  • Emotion Monitoring could be also used for infants smelling clothing of adults.  There should be an emotional reaction when the infant smells the parent's clothing via pheromone identification.

Feel free to share more solutions in comments below, especially Sci/Tech Solutions!
