Idea for vehicle alternator emergency power generation.

There seems to be car alternator adapters for tools, computers, etc.  There does not seem to be an adapter system to link a car alternator to a house electrical system.  This would be particularly helpful in and emergency – if nothing else than to power the sump pump.

The system could have a feed distribution scheme similar to wind or solar power generation – to protect both the car and the house.  The system could also have a load distribution scheme to route power to the most needed areas and block power to unnecessary power uses.

Using the existing car automatic-start technology – the car could start and stop automatically as needed to maintain the essential functions of a house or maybe even a small clinic or business.

An advanced feature might be to link multiple automobiles, tractors, trucks, etc. together to supply the essential needs of a small hospital in a disaster situation.
Possible Start Building Blocks –
  • Existing concepts for windmill generators, small hydroelectric generators, techniques to feed power back to the Power Company, etc.

  • USPTO Class/Subclasses for "How-To" ideas – 307/66, 322/46, 322/28
