Idea for Fishing Water Quality Monitor

How about a fishing water-quality-monitor? This device could monitor the water while fishing and give a recommendation on whether the fish in these waters are edible. This could be a feature of existing fish finders. A more sophisticated model could sample the water at various depths and match to the fish caught. Example – bottom conditions may recommend not eating bottom-feeding fish, yet the upper water level fish are okay.
Possible Start Building Blocks –
  • Existing concepts for floating pool thermometers, litmus paper, chemical testing, blood sample electronic tester, water well testing, etc.

  • USPTO Class/Subclasses for "How-To" ideas – 422/68.1, 210/96.2
